Day of 9 Water Only Fasting

I wanted to share an update with you all. I’ve lost 20 pounds, and I can see the difference when I look in the mirror. I recently attended a morning class with Dr. Veress where she talked about inflammation. She shared a lot of information, and I was impressed with her knowledge. It gave me a newfound respect for naturopathic doctors. I also learned about a Yuka app that lets you scan barcodes of items like cleaning products and self-care items to see how toxic they are. It can also suggest healthier alternatives.

I started the day feeling more energetic, but I needed to nap by early afternoon, even though I’m not usually a napper. I decided to take my book outside and find a shady spot to relax and read. While outside, I learned that it’s recommended to take a walk around the courtyard every day. This was news, as I hadn’t left the compound since I arrived. I’m considering taking a walk tomorrow if I feel up to it. I’ll be reaching the halfway point of my program tomorrow, and I want to remind everyone not to attempt more than three days of fasting without medical supervision. Every day is an opportunity to make a small change to improve your health.
